How I work

I use a trauma-informed, integrated and evidence-based approach that recognises the connection between mind, body and psyche. With over 30 years of experience supporting mental health, trauma and lifestyle challenges, I draw on a wide range of therapeutic tools to support your wellbeing and assist you in navigating difficult experiences with compassion and clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cancellation Policy

At Transcending Trauma, we understand that sometimes life can get in the way of your scheduled appointment. We kindly request that you give us 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This allows us to offer your session time to another client in need of our services. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Payment Methods & Fees

Payment can be made via cash, credit card or bank transfer. If you have questions regarding fees or payment options, please feel free to contact us.
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a fee of $315 for a standard 45–60 minute session. At Transcending Trauma, psychology sessions are offered considerably less than this rate.
Psychology sessions under the Better Access Scheme are not free. A Mental Health Care Plan provides a Medicare rebate that contributes toward the cost of your session.

Mental Health Care Plans

A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) may help reduce the out-of-pocket cost of psychology sessions. GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist referrals are accepted.

If you are having difficulty accessing a GP appointment, some clients choose to use online GP services to obtain a MHCP.

The Better Access initiative may include treatment for a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related difficulties, eating disorders and other mental health presentations.
