In the latest episode of the Transcending Trauma Podcast, we step into the sacred landscape of midlife womanhood — a time that can feel like unraveling, but also awakening.

I was honoured to be joined by Dr Purity Carr, a highly regarded medical doctor and women’s health specialist based in Western Australia. With over two decades in general practice, Dr Purity has become a lighthouse for women navigating the stormy seas of perimenopause and menopause.

She is the visionary behind the 10:10 Menopause Reset and founder of the Menopause Momentum Network, which champions informed, holistic, and empowered care for women in midlife.

The Inspiration Behind the 10:10 Reset

During our conversation, Dr Purity shared her journey from GP to menopause specialist. She explained how, time and again, she saw women who felt dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told “This is just menopause, you’ll get over it.” Many of these women lived with symptoms that rippled across every system in the body.

The 10:10 Reset was born out of a desire to provide structured, personalised, whole-person care — medical, nutritional, emotional, and lifestyle-based — so women could feel truly seen, supported, and guided toward lasting change.

What Makes the Program Unique?

Unlike generic wellness programs, the 10:10 Reset is medically anchored. Every participant undergoes a pre-program medical review, and interventions are tailored to hormone profiles, health challenges, and lifestyle needs.

The Reset integrates:

  • Nutrition: Low-histamine, anti-inflammatory, and 75/25 Full Plate Diet principles

  • Fasting: Gentle, flexible protocols adapted to goals like weight, energy, or inflammation reduction

  • Movement: A balance of strength training, cardio, and restorative practices

  • Lifestyle: Sleep hygiene, hydration, stress reduction, and daily self-regulation

At its heart, the Reset weaves the eight pillars of NEWSTART (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest, Trust) into every day.

The Power of Community

Another standout feature of the program is its strong community connection. Women check in daily through Marco Polo video groups, share recipes and reflections, and support each other with kindness and accountability.

Each cohort even creates a Low Histamine Cookbook, where members contribute their favourite recipes — a powerful symbol of shared healing and nourishment.

Mental Health and Whole-Person Healing

Dr Purity emphasised the deep link between menopause, emotional wellbeing, and trauma. As women begin to sleep better, stabilise blood sugar, and regain physical strength, anxiety and low mood often lift.

The Reset also integrates mental health reviews (with Dr Yashan Leong and Helen Walker) and recognises the importance of emotional resilience and self-compassion in midlife healing.

Feedback from Women in the Program

The most common words graduates share are:✨ “I’ve got my life back.”

Women report less bloating, fewer cravings, reduced aches and pains, and a renewed sense of strength, clarity, and confidence. Perhaps most importantly, they feel heard and understood — often for the first time.
