Healing & Mind–Body Wellbeing at Transcending Trauma

Healing from difficult life experiences is a deeply personal journey, and people often benefit from support that considers the whole person — mind, body and spirit. At Transcending Trauma, our rooms in Collie, Bunbury and Donnybrook provide a welcoming environment for holistic mind–body wellbeing services, alongside separate psychology services delivered under AHPRA regulation.

Originally established in 1998 under the name “Beautiful Spirit,” Transcending Trauma has a long history of offering integrative mind–body approaches, psychosomatic modalities and psychological support for clients seeking greater self-awareness, resilience and emotional balance. With lived experience and specialised training, Leigh supports adults, veterans and individuals navigating a broad range of life challenges through both face-to-face and online sessions.

Our mind–body wellness retreats offer participants a nurturing space to reconnect with themselves, deepen awareness and explore practices that support relaxation and wellbeing. Retreat activities may include:

  • mindfulness and meditation

  • gentle breathwork

  • psychosomatic body–mind awareness practices

  • symbolic art exploration

  • feminine embodiment

  • yoga

  • nature-based activities

  • qi gong

These retreats focus on personal exploration, grounding, connection and cultivating inner balance. Many participants describe gaining clarity, renewed energy and a stronger sense of self-awareness.

In addition to in-person sessions and retreats, Transcending Trauma offers webinars on mind–body wellbeing, providing accessible education and tools for people wishing to learn more about self-regulation, mind–body practices and holistic wellness.

Whether you're seeking personal growth, emotional balance or a deeper connection to yourself, Transcending Trauma offers a compassionate and supportive environment for your wellbeing journey.

Important Notice

Holistic, retreat and psychosomatic services offered by Transcending Trauma are complementary wellbeing modalities and are not psychological therapy or trauma treatment. Psychology services are provided separately by a Registered Psychologist under AHPRA regulation. Retreat participation does not constitute psychological treatment, and Medicare rebates do not apply.
